Physician - Department of Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Endocrine Surgeon (Open Rank/Track Faculty)

The Division of Surgical Oncology in the Department of Surgery is seeking an exceptional academic Endocrine Surgeon to join our elite team of experts at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) and the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (The James). The ideal candidate will provide exemplary endocrine multidisciplinary patient care, have a discernable academic and research track record, and be an enthusiastic educator. A strong participation in service commitment to local, regional, national, and international professional organizations and programs is required. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. Responsibilities Clinical Care: Provide expert surgical care in benign and malignant endocrine conditions, emphasizing minimally invasive techniques and evidence‑based approaches. Education: Participate in education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows, including endocrine surgery fellowship training; contribute to curriculum development, lectures, and hands‑on training sessions. Research: Engage in meaningful research initiatives in endocrine surgery, including basic science and clinical research; support grant writing, publications, and presentations at national and international conferences. Program Development: Work collaboratively to expand the endocrine surgery program, enhancing the clinical footprint and solidifying the division as a center of excellence. Quality Improvement and Leadership: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committees to promote patient safety and outcomes, with opportunities for leadership roles within the division and department. Requirements M.D. or equivalent who is American Board of Surgery eligible or certified in general surgery. Completion of a fellowship in surgical oncology or AAES fellowship in endocrine surgery. Academic track record focused on research, teaching, and program development in endocrine surgery. Eligible for a State of Ohio Medical License. Qualify for an academic appointment – academic rank and salary commensurate with previous training and experience. Location: Columbus, Ohio.
