Carpenter: Forreston, Illinois

Our customer in Forreston, Illinois is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join their team. We’re recruiting carpenters to work full-time on 1st shift. As a carpenter, you will play a key role in residential and commercial building projects, including remodeling work and deck construction. Responsibilities of the Carpenter:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine deck or remodel layout.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood, composite, or metal materials for construction projects.
• Install posts, beams, trusses, joists, railings, and decking boards based on design plans.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to construct and finish structures.
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors or clients to ensure expectations are met.
• Perform site clean-up and general maintenance upon project completion.
• Work on a variety of projects including remodeling, bathrooms, decks, and trusses.

Carpenter Requirements and Qualifications:

• Prior hands-on carpentry or remodeling experience required.
• Experience with remodeling, trusses, decks, and bathrooms, preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tools, materials, and building techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications accurately.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more consistently throughout the day.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods (up to 10 hours/day).
• Must be dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Pay for Carpenter: $18.00–$20.00/hour depending on experience.
