Schedule

• Monday-Friday, typically 8-hour shifts
• Rotating call schedule : 
  • Variable weekday call from 3:00 PM-7:00 PM
  • No weekend call
• Schedule subject to change based on department and patient care needs

Our 10-room surgical suite supports a wide range of specialties with 17 surgeons utilizing block time . Nurses have the opportunity to circulate and assist in procedures across:

• Orthopedics
• General Surgery
• OB/GYN
• Urology
• ENT
• Spine
• Pulmonary

We are proud to utilize advanced technology , including Mako and da Vinci robotic systems , reflecting our commitment to best practices and a patient-first approach.

With many nurses on the unit having 15+ years of experience , mentorship and hands-on training are readily available. Our strong multidisciplinary teamwork sets us apart, with a shared goal of delivering safe, high-quality, compassionate care close to home.

How you will contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN)  who excels in this role: 

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Prepares, positions, and transports patients for procedures.
• Prepares surgical and endoscopy suites with solutions, scopes, equipment, and supplies. Validates proper reprocessing of scopes for every procedure.
• Assesses and cares for patients throughout the perioperative process, including pre-procedure and post-procedure care.
• Operates specialized equipment and maintains a safe environment.
• Accounts for use of supplies during surgical/endoscopy procedures.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.

• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances throughout the perioperative process.

• Assists patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we are looking for

• Applicants should have a current VA RN licens
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.

Additional requirements include:

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support

Hourly range: $31.49 - $42.51 per hour
