Milling Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Milling Machine Operator to join our company. As a Milling Machine Operator, you will be responsible for performing the duties to setup the milling machine for operation, and operate the machine while maintaining a smooth, consistent, and correctly aligned operation. What you will do: Check all fluid levels at the beginning of engine startup each day. Monitor and maintain gauges, fluid levels, operation and function throughout the day. Maintain awareness of unusual noises or operations and bring any exceptions to the attention of the Foreman. Ability to perform light mechanical adjustments and to assist mechanics performing repairs on assigned equipment. Assist with the lubrication and fueling of the milling machine. Responsible for the control and operation of the milling machine. Operates the milling machine to properly mill asphalt to desired specifications based on usage. Manipulates hand or foot levers to control movements of the milling machine that mills asphalt on roadways and related surfaces such as parking lots, streets, etc. May perform other related duties, such as preventative maintenance on all milling machinery. The operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the Foreman. Follow safety rules and keep equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Perform other related duties as assigned. What you will need: (Minimum requirements) A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience with the operation of a milling machine.
