The General Manager is the strategic and operational leader of CUT by Wolfgang Puck New York , responsible for driving operational excellence, delivering world-class hospitality, developing a high-performing team, and ensuring every guest experience reflects the elevated standards and culinary excellence associated with the Wolfgang Puck name.

This role oversees all aspects of restaurant performance, including service standards, financial results, team development, guest relationships, and daily operations. The ideal candidate is an experienced hospitality leader with a passion for luxury dining, strong business acumen, and the ability to inspire a team in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.

The General Manager will lead with a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences, fostering a culture of excellence, and executing the vision of CUT while continuously elevating the restaurant’s reputation as one of New York City’s premier dining destinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations with a focus on exceptional hospitality, consistency, and attention to detail
• Create and maintain a culture centered around teamwork, accountability, and professional growth
• Develop, coach, and mentor restaurant leadership and service teams
• Ensure service standards consistently exceed guest expectations in a luxury dining environment
• Drive financial performance through effective labor management, cost controls, revenue generation, and operational efficiencies
• Build strong relationships with guests, VIPs, and key stakeholders while creating memorable and personalized experiences
• Oversee private dining, special events, and restaurant experiences to maximize revenue opportunities
• Partner closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless execution between front and back of house
• Monitor guest feedback and proactively identify opportunities to enhance the overall dining experience
• Maintain compliance with company standards, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and retention initiatives to build a strong and engaged team
• Champion Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group’s culture, values, and commitment to excellence

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of General Manager or senior restaurant leadership experience in luxury hospitality, fine dining, or high-volume upscale restaurants
• Proven success leading a sophisticated dining operation with strong financial performance
• Exceptional knowledge of food, beverage, service standards, and hospitality operations
• Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and retain talented teams
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism
• Experience working with luxury hotels, celebrity chefs, or internationally recognized restaurant groups preferred
• Passion for creating memorable guest experiences and building a culture of excellence
