Director, Business Process Improvement

National Distribution & Contracting

The Director, Business Process Improvement is responsible for leading the design, optimization, and execution of enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives across a healthcare logistics organization. This role drives operational excellence by enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, improving service quality, and ensuring compliance within a highly regulated healthcare environment. The Director partners cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, IT, finance, and customer-facing teams to deliver scalable, data-driven process improvements that support strategic growth.Lead Process Improvement StrategyDevelop and execute a comprehensive, enterprise-wide process improvement roadmap aligned with organizational goalsLead process optimization efforts across the full business value stream, including both operational and back-office functions (order management, finance, customer service, and administrative processes)Champion continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to drive sustainable performance improvementsOperational Excellence & End-to-End EfficiencyIdentify process gaps, inefficiencies, and bottlenecks across the end-to-end workflow, from purchase order (PO) through sales order (SO), including supporting back-office processesDesign and implement scalable solutions that improve throughput, accuracy, cost efficiency, and service levelsDrive standardization of processes across sites and functions to enable consistency and scalabilityProcess Mapping & Workflow OptimizationLead current-state and future-state process mapping efforts (value stream mapping, swimlane diagrams) across the enterprise.Establish baseline performance and identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and waste reductionRedesign workflows aligned to best practices, ensuring seamless integration between front-line operations and back-office processesData Analysis & Insight GenerationAnalyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities across the end-to-end value streamTranslate insights into actionable recommendations that drive operational and strategic improvementsSupport root cause analysis of performance issues and measure impact of implemented solutionsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with supply chain, operations, IT, finance, customer service, and other corporate functions to drive alignment and executionFacilitate cross-functional workshops to align process design, priorities, and implementation plansEnsure alignment between operational execution and supporting business functionsTeam LeadershipBuild, lead, and mentor a high-performing process improvement and industrial engineering teamEstablish standards, tools, and best practices for process mapping, analysis, and optimizationFoster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-makingBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred8–12+ years of experience in process improvement, operations, or supply chain roles5+ years of experience in a healthcare, logistics, or regulated environmentCertifications (Preferred)Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black BeltPMP or equivalent project management certificationDeep expertise in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)Strong understanding of healthcare logistics, distribution, and regulatory requirementsProven ability to lead large-scale transformation initiativesAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysisExcellent stakeholder management and executive communication skillsAbility to influence without authority and drive cross-functional alignmentStrong change management and organizational development capabilities #J-18808-Ljbffr National Distribution & Contracting
