Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions within clients' homes or group therapy activities at our outpatient center, utilizing appropriate therapeutic techniques tailored to each client’s needs.

• Implement specialized interventions, including anger management techniques and social skills training, aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and physical aggression.
\n
• Guide families in enhancing their decision-making skills to effectively navigate and address in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to ensure an integrated approach to care and support for youth and their families.
\n
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to deadlines and compliance standards.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings and contribute recommendations for ongoing service improvement and family support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on children aged 3-20 who may have developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will be instrumental in providing therapeutic services that address their unique experiences and challenges. Therapists in our clinic are expected to work closely with families to foster a supportive environment for the children, ultimately facilitating better mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential to provide therapeutic services.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 4 PM to 7 PM, with some weekend availability being favorable.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are mandatory for conducting home visits.
\n
• Success in passing a criminal background check, which includes fingerprinting, is a prerequisite for employment.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least three years of experience providing mental health services, particularly to children and adolescents.
\n
• Experience working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly desired.
\n
• Background in employing positive behavior support techniques while effectively addressing behavioral issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
