Center Coordinator

Work Schedule: Time varies between 2 pm – 6 pm Mon – Fri and 9 am – 6 pm on Teacher Workdays and other out-of-school times, including the summer.

If this sounds like a vision and commitment that you share, please consider the opportunity below. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Center Coordinator. Under direction from the Center Supervisor this person will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the facility; to include the administrative, operational and programming requirements of the facility. The Center Coordinator will serve as the front line staff for the recreation center. Responsibilities and duties will include:

• Exemplifying the City of Greensboro's Core Values (Honesty, Integrity, Respect, Stewardship)
• Fielding and responding to inquiries for classes, activities, events, services, etc. with appropriate and accurate information
• Monitoring and managing groups and individuals using the recreation center
• Monitoring and managing scheduled programs, classes, activities, etc.
• Assisting with set-up and breakdown of activities and cleaning of program areas
• Maintaining information necessary for accurate reporting such as fees collected, deposits, registrations and attendance
• Attending and participating in staff meetings, staff trainings, etc.
• Providing exceptional customer service

The selected applicant must possess great communication skills to ensure the highest level of customer service, have knowledge of safe work practices, ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions, and have the ability to be trained in RecTrac (registration software). The physical requirements of the job requires the ability to perform the physical duties of this job, which includes lifting up to 30lbs.

The job is NON-EXEMPT under FLSA.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Driver's License OR reliable means of transportation
• Prior experience working with school-aged children
• Prior experience working with Word and Excel software programs
• Current First Aid and CPR certification OR ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications):

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• Prior experience with recreation management software
• Bilingual
