Summary: The Advanced Technical Support Specialist assists in the execution, documentation, and troubleshooting of laboratory techniques including PCR, immunoassays, and high-throughput screening in support of diagnostics and medical countermeasure development. Provides high-level technical assistance in support of complex laboratory procedures across a range of diagnostic and research platforms. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Conduct advanced laboratory assays with minimal supervision. Maintain detailed records and logs for regulatory compliance. Assist in troubleshooting instrument and assay issues. Support sample preparation and biospecimen management. Participate in SOP development and lab audits. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Strong foundation in molecular and immunological assays. Familiarity with sample tracking and laboratory information systems. Knowledge of regulatory and biosafety procedures. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in laboratory sciences or life sciences. Minimum 4+ years in a biomedical or diagnostic laboratory setting. Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance eligibility, with no access to classified information, is required. Enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required. Preferred Qualifications: ACTIVE SECRET is preferred Associate degree with additional experience accepted.
