Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Acute Med/Surg night shift position in Santa Fe, NM, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and a NM or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement of 2–4 shifts per month, rotated among staff
• On-call is not required but may be requested if census increases
• Float requirement to all Med/Surg departments within the assigned director's scope
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• EMR: Epic
• Grey scrubs required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NM RN license or current compact state RN license
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Strong knowledge and clinical skills appropriate to the patient population served

Additional Information

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement timely, documented nursing interventions
• Coordinate team assignments, delegate appropriately, and participate in patient education and discharge planning
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Travelers who have previously worked at any CHRISTUS Health facility in a non-travel (permanent) capacity must have a separation of at least 6 months before being considered for a travel assignment — this applies across the entire CHRISTUS Health System
