Regional Director Data Centers - Power Stability Systems

Overview Regional Director Data Centers – Power Stability Systems (Sales Origination; SPB). Full‑time role located in New York and remote across the United States. Lead commercial strategy, sales, and account management for power stability solutions such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Medium Voltage Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) for data center customers in North America. Essential Responsibilities Accountable for meeting or exceeding the established operating plan. Develop and execute commercial strategy for selling stability solutions to data centers. Maintain accurate forecasting of orders and convertible orders in Salesforce.com. Lead day‑to‑day relationships, provide transactional support, and coordinate with GE Vernova sales personnel across the region. Implement joint account strategies and close synergy orders with partner business units. Drive growth strategy with integrated plays for GE across the region. Build and sustain strategic customer relationships with key decision makers (power developers, data center developers, independent power producers, co‑locators). Identify, prospect, and create new sales opportunities. Support customers in sales activities and assist them in identifying new opportunities. Coordinate activities and lead the creation of individual sales strategies with appropriate pricing and delivery approvals. Negotiate contracts as required. Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base. Collaborate with Marketing to develop project‑specific sales strategies for assigned customers. Provide feedback to leadership to drive continued growth. Manage expenses within a given budget. Own and maintain accounts in the region, ensuring relationships at all organizational levels; develop and monitor growth plans, marketing programs, and training. Achieve quarterly and yearly quotas by managing, maintaining, and growing accounts. Follow up GE‑provided leads and convert them to orders. Enforce global compliance standards and collaborate with the compliance manager on due diligence activities. Provide market feedback, competitive intelligence, and hit‑rate information to business and sales leadership. Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline from an accredited university or college. Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales, Commercial Operations, Engineering, or Technical Engineering. Experience with Data Center markets and portfolios. Eligibility Requirements Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Willingness and ability to travel North America up to 50% of the time. Desired Characteristics Prior sales success in battery storage, data center power management, or hybrids. Familiarity with gas turbines, battery storage, grid connection, islanded grids, and hybrid industry customers. Successful sales leadership experience with high‑value, high‑price system sales to senior leadership. In‑depth knowledge of battery storage applications for product lines and markets. Experience developing relationships at all levels within an organization. Existing executive‑level contacts at one or more accounts in the region. Comfortable and experienced with cold calling new targeted customers. Benefits Competitive compensation with a salary range of $151,400 to $252,200 and bonus eligibility (sales incentive).
