Technologist Assistant

Job Category Technologist Employee Type Full-Time Description Job Duties: Assist technologists with patient preparation and positioning for imaging procedures. Escort patients to and from exam rooms while ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring supplies and equipment are stocked and ready for use. Clean and disinfect equipment and patient care areas according to infection control standards. Verify patient identification and assist with intake, screening, and documentation processes. Support workflow coordination by communicating with front office staff, technologists, and providers. Monitor patient flow and assist in reducing delays and improving operational efficiency. Transport patients, records, and supplies as needed throughout the department. Observe patients and report concerns or changes in condition to licensed staff promptly. Assist with clerical tasks including scanning, filing, data entry, and maintaining electronic medical records. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies. Follow all safety, quality assurance, and regulatory guidelines. Support the technologist with IV placement and patient preparation procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills and familiarity with office or healthcare systems. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers. Previous experience in healthcare, radiology, medical assisting, or customer service preferred IV experience preferred CPR/BLS certification Experience working in a fast-paced clinical or outpatient environment preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a patient-centered approach. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of patient privacy standards and HIPAA compliance. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately. Basic understanding of infection prevention and workplace safety practices. Ability to collaborate effectively with technologists, physicians, nurses, and administrative staff. Proficiency with computers, electronic medical records, and standard office equipment. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist patients throughout the workday. Ability to lift or move equipment and assist patients as needed in accordance with safety guidelines.
