Management Trainee

As a Management Trainee, you will participate in our Operations Management Trainee Program. This is an entry level training position and consists of an intensive 16‑week training program designed to prepare you for your initial leadership/supervisory role in operations. Responsibilities Learn the basic principles of the transportation industry, efficient cross‑dock operations, effective leadership communication, and relationship building skills under the direction of a mentor. Complete the leadership training program requiring guided, independent study. Interface with appropriate Support Center and Service Center associates daily to complete various training program aspects. Accompany and observe an Account Manager during customer sales calls. Accompany drivers on local delivery routes to understand the freight delivery process on occasion. Prepare for relocation to another facility for your first leadership role in Operations upon program completion. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation or Logistics, or at least two years of related work experience. Acceptable driving history that aligns with company standards. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective listening. Professional demeanor and appearance at all times. Basic computer skills and a very strong work ethic. Flexibility and readiness to relocate as needed. Availability to work the Second Shift. Compensation Average Annual Starting Pay: $50,000–$60,000. Job Location and Shift Second Shift.
