Job TitleVascular Surgeon at the Nashville VAMCJob DescriptionThis position for Vascular Surgeon at the Nashville VAMC will provide care for Veteran's with vascular disease. The candidate is required to be Board certified in Vascular Surgery with an active and unencumbered state license. Experience with training Vascular Fellowship level trainees is required. The candidate must be experienced with endovascular and open procedures across the spectrum of vascular pathologies. In particular, the candidate must be experienced with the following key complex procedures:Placement of at least 10 branched aortic endograft devices within the past 3 years.Placement of carotid stents via transcarotid access with reversal of flow.Performance of Deep Venous Arterialization in at least 5 patients.Experience with femoral vein aortic reconstruction procedures (aka NAIS procedures) for aortic infection.Experience with Thoracic Outlet decompression procedures.The candidate also must have experience with participation and organization of clinical trials of novel vascular interventional devices demonstrated by consistent enrollment of patients in clinical trials over the past 3 years. The candidate must also be eligible for or currently have a faculty level appointment at Vanderbilt University Medical Center to allow for resident supervision.Total Rewards PackageVA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
