Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite | Weekends may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
• Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with level of practice
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources
• Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment or a valid compact nursing license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing specialty
• Ability to care for post-surgical patients including orthopedic, general surgery, and neuro populations
• Willingness to float to other units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
• Familiarity with neuro and orthopedic post-surgical patient populations
