Associate I Payroll

Position Title: Associate I Payroll Work Location: North Chicago, IL 60064 Assignment Duration: 12 months Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm Work Arrangement: 100% onsite Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and processing of regular payroll cycles. Process new hires, terminations, pay changes, garnishments, and benefit deductions. Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and payroll procedures. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws. Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policy and retention requirements. Support internal and external payroll audits as needed. Required Qualifications Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree to be considered for full-time opportunities. 3 years of payroll experience. Basic knowledge of payroll processes, wage and hour laws, and payroll taxes. Proficiency with payroll systems (Workday and Kronos is a plus), Microsoft Suites, proficient with Excel.
