Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mobile MRI Technologist for an 11-week contract at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and Siemens MRI equipment proficiency.

Details

• Mobile MRI Tech position based at an outpatient tower within a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital (865 beds)
• 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Holiday coverage required if holidays fall on a scheduled shift
• No on-call requirement
• Floating within clinical scope may be required to meet facility needs
• Daily caseload varies
• Charting via Epic
• No radiation badge required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
• SC license required if applicable
• Siemens MRI equipment experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• All requested time off must be disclosed upfront; approval is subject to manager and unit needs
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, and local candidates are considered on a case-by-case basis
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
• Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
• Parking is free on weekdays; nights and weekends require a one-time $20 parking pass
• Travelers are assigned to the facility's emergency response team, which may be activated during hurricane season (June–November, peak months August–September)
