Based in Riverside‑San Bernardino Counties, this self‑starting journalist will play a vital role in reporting on and representing this important area.The ideal candidatemust be a great storyteller, content creator and collaborator who knows how to present active and engaging live shots and be endlessly creative on all platforms. This reporter works to build meaningful relationships with leaders, newsmakers and community organizations in the Inland Empire, regularly generating unique and exclusive story ideas. Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects based on resources, deadlines and daily news demands.Ability to shoot, edit and publish is a plus. This role is considered on‑site in our Riverside County Bureau. Responsibilities : Exceptional reporting, writing and interviewing skills Expertly handle live breaking news and event coverage Deliver active, engaging live shots that stand out in competitive market Build meaningful sources and relationships in the Inland Empireto generate unique and exclusive story ideas Active use of social media for promotion and news gathering Participate in community and station public events Basic Qualifications : Multiple market experience. Must be a strong journalist and storyteller. Must have excellent time and resource management ability Must have schedule flexibility and ability to work holidays. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to shoot, edit and publish Experience with Adobe Premiere and Dalet Bilingual preferred Required Education: Bachelor’s degree The hiring range for this SAG-AFTRA role in Glendale, CA is $120,000 to $145,000 per year. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The role also has potential for additional compensation for overtime and early morning/overnight shifts.
