Senior Human Resources GeneralistAs the Senior Human Resources Generalist you will provide experienced, hands-on HR support across SendCutSend facilities and serve as a key resource to the Director of Human Resources, HR Operations Manager, site HR leaders, and the broader HR team. This role independently handles complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, performance management, and corrective actions while providing practical guidance to managers and supervisors.The Senior HR Generalist supports the consistent interpretation and application of HR policies, practices, and employment requirements across multiple locations and serves as an escalation and advisory resource for more complex HR matters. The role also supports leave and accommodation administration, compliance activities, organizational changes, and company-wide HR initiatives. Working closely with HR leadership, managers, and employees, the Senior HR Generalist helps identify trends, strengthen HR processes, and promote a consistent, professional, and supportive employee experience across the organization.SendCutSend is an on-demand manufacturing company specializing in custom sheet metal and CNC machining. If you're excited to join the team and grow with us, we want to hear from you!What You'll DoSupport the Director of HR and HR Operations Manager with day-to-day HR operations and company-wide initiatives.Handle complex employee relations matters, including employee complaints, performance concerns, attendance issues, corrective action, and conflict resolution.Conduct workplace investigations and prepare clear, thorough documentation, findings, and recommendations.Provide guidance to managers and supervisors regarding company policies, performance management, attendance, corrective action, and employee concerns.Serve as a resource to HR Site Managers on complex or unusual employee relations matters and escalations, in coordination with HR leadership.Support, and participate in the implementation and interpretation of new or revised HR policies, procedures, and processes.Assist the HR Operations Manager with the administration and coordination of employee leave and accommodation processes, including FMLA and ADA, in accordance with company procedures and applicable requirements.Provide backup support for benefits administration, leave administration, accommodations, and workers' compensation as needed.Review and advise on corrective actions, employee relations documentation, and other HR documentation to ensure consistency, completeness, and alignment with company practices.Assist with HR audits, compliance reviews, reporting, HR metrics, and other compliance-related projects.Identify recurring employee or manager issues and recommend process, policy, or training improvements.Support organizational changes and employee actions, including promotions, transfers, compensation changes, job changes, and other employment-related changes.Provide backup HR coverage when a Site Manager or HR Operations Manager is unavailable.Mentor and provide guidance to HR Generalists, Coordinators, and other HR team members without assuming formal management responsibility unless assigned.Participate in special HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Operations Manager or Director of HR.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).6+ years of progressive HR experience in a multi-state environment, including significant hands-on employee relations experience.Demonstrated ability to independently assess complex employee relations situations, exercise sound judgment, make appropriate recommendations, and recognize when higher-risk or sensitive matters should be escalated to HR leadership.Strong working knowledge of various federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements, including FMLA, ADA, and wage and hour requirements.Experience preparing and reviewing employee relations documentation, investigation summaries, and corrective action documentation.Ability to independently assess HR situations, exercise sound judgment, and escalate higher-risk or sensitive matters appropriately.Experience supporting leave, accommodation, benefits, and workers' compensation processes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate, confidential HR documentation.Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.Proficiency in Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.).Preferred QualificationsExperience providing HR support within a manufacturing, production, distribution, or other fast-paced operational environment.Experience supporting employees and leaders across multiple facilities and multiple states.Advanced experience conducting complex workplace investigations and preparing investigation findings and recommendations.Experience advising managers on higher-risk employee relations matters, including performance management, corrective action, policy interpretation, and involuntary separations.Working knowledge of multi-state leave, accommodation, wage and hour, and employment compliance requirements.Experience using Paylocity or a comparable HRIS for employee records, reporting, workflows, and HR processes.Experience mentoring or providing functional guidance to other HR professionals.SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or other relevant HR certification.Essential Physical RequirementsAbility to sit or stand for extended periods while performing work duties.Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and printers.Work EnvironmentEnvironment is a fast-paced, collaborative environment that requires communication, organization, and coordination across teams in the organization.Work is primarily performed in an office environment within a manufacturing facility. The role may require interaction with employees and supervisors on the production floor.
