Customer Application Specialist (CAS), Pathology

Agilent seeks an in-field Customer Application Specialist to support pathology and genomics customers across PA, DE, and West Virginia. The role combines pre- and post-sales technical support, customer training, and assay optimization, requiring a life sciences degree and 1–2 years of relevant laboratory experience. Extensive territory travel is expected.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales scientific consultation partnering with Sales on Pathology and Genomics solutions
- Support post-sales installations including on-site training and Performance Qualification with Field Service Engineers
- Optimize customer assays including IHC, Special Stains, H&E, and Molecular ISH/FISH
- Deliver on-site and remote troubleshooting collaborating with Applications, Technical Support, Sales, and Service teams
- Co-travel with Sales Account Managers throughout PA, DE, and West Virginia territory
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences or related field
- 1–2 years experience with pathology and genomics instrumentation in clinical or laboratory settings
- Strong background in IHC, Special Stains, H&E, and molecular ISH/FISH techniques
- Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences
- Valid driver's license and capacity for extensive travel up to 75%
- HT or QIHC certification preferred
- Capability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform hands-on laboratory activities
Compensation: $105,075–$175,125 annually plus bonus, stock, and benefits eligibility
