OSM Network Technician (Onsite Monitoring)

SG Energy Solutions a leading global electrical instrumentation & control (I&C) and IT contractor serving GE/FieldCore since 2010 is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented OSM Network Technician to join our team as a remote 1099 contractor. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical onsite monitoring projects across the U.S. and internationally with extensive travel involved. We welcome recent graduates and those with hardware or troubleshooting experience to apply. Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between the customer GE and SG Energy Solutions to ensure smooth communication and project execution
- Support on-time installation and commissioning of Onsite Monitoring (OSM) systems at various customer sites
- Identify and troubleshoot IT issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure system integrity
- Manage procurement activities including obtaining vendor quotes and tracking project costs
- Complete and maintain detailed Server Reports and other documentation as required
- Assist with hardware troubleshooting system setup and configuration as needed
- Maintain a strong focus on safety protocols and best practices during all onsite activities
- Travel extensively within the U.S. and internationally to customer sites ensuring timely project delivery
Skills and Qualifications
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; 1 year of hardware or troubleshooting experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients vendors and team members
- Basic understanding of networking server hardware and IT troubleshooting
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks safely
- Valid drivers license and passport with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel extensively including internationally with flexibility and adaptability
- Safety-conscious mindset with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Reliable self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote contractor capacity
