Organizational Change manager

We are seeking an experienced Executive Enterprise Project Manager / Interim Executive Director to provide immediate organizational stabilization, transformational leadership, and culture overhaul for a university's Network Infrastructure Services department. Location: Columbia, SC 29208 (Candidates must be SC residents or willing to relocate prior to starting) Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite Role Type: 9-Month Contract (With potential for extension) Key Responsibilities Transformational Leadership: Lead a comprehensive organizational turnaround to restore accountability, professionalism, operational discipline, and customer service standards. Organizational Restructuring: Evaluate departmental operations, refine reporting lines, adjust staffing models, and address performance management in accordance with HR policies. Operational Stabilization: Maintain continuity of critical network infrastructure services while resolving operational inefficiencies and removing productivity barriers. Strategy & Governance: Establish robust decision-making frameworks, manage departmental budgets, ensure policy/audit compliance, and collaborate with executive campus stakeholders. Leadership Transition: Mentor internal management and author comprehensive transition documentation to prepare the department for a permanent Executive Director. Required Skills & Qualifications Organizational Transformation: 3+ years of executive-level experience driving organizational transformation, turnaround initiatives, and change management. Restructuring & Culture: 3+ years leading structural reorganization, team realignments, and culture overhaul within complex groups. Technology Executive Leadership: 3+ years of executive leadership over large, complex technology organizations (enterprise IT / network infrastructure). Personnel Management: 3+ years of direct experience with executive personnel coaching, performance accountability, and corrective action. Education: Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and executive experience). Preferred Qualifications Background managing organizational change and IT governance within higher education. Strategic IT knowledge spanning enterprise network operations, architecture, and engineering.
