Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive range of ultrasound exams, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during each procedure, articulating every step with empathy and clarity
• Work closely with radiologists and referring clinicians to ensure high-quality images for accurate diagnoses
• Maintain operational equipment, promptly reporting any issues
• Thoroughly document procedures and manage patient records in the electronic medical documentation system
• Keep abreast of developments in ultrasound techniques and best practices to enhance patient care

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
