Senior Property Accountant

A detail-oriented accounting professional with 35+ years of property accounting experience. Manage accounting for a portfolio of single-tenant industrial properties including reconciliations, accruals, reporting, and general ledger review. Immediate need to cover a leave of absence. This role offers the opportunity to manage financial accounting functions for a portfolio of single-tenant industrial properties directly for the ownership group.

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform bank account reconciliations and initiate transfers/wires for payments.
• Prepare monthly property accruals, amortization schedules, reports, and supporting schedules.
• Complete year-end accruals and management fee calculations.
• Review and maintain multiple general ledgers across 25+ assets.
• Collaborate with property management teams on financial matters.
• On-board new property assignments and certify rent rolls.
• Ensure timely posting of rent payments.
• Support portfolio finance teams with requests and inquiries.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 35+ years of experience as a Property Accountant.
• Proficiency with MRI or Yardi accounting systems.
• Strong knowledge of accruals, amortization, and general ledger review.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Real estate property management experience preferred.
• Team-oriented mindset.
