About the Role We're looking for a Social Media Manager who is equal parts creative thinker, brand builder, and performance-minded operator to lead social across three distinct beauty brands. You'll own the social strategy, content calendar, brand voice, community, and performance across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Pinterest, while directing agency, creator, and freelance partners to bring the work to life. The challenge and opportunity is building three unmistakably different social worlds: YENSA's complexion and makeup artistry, pūrlisse’s complexion care powered with Asian botanicals and JooY's emerging fermented scalp-wellness point of view. This is a strategic, hands-on role. You'll partner with the Founder/CEO to set the direction and hold the creative bar, while being willing to jump in whether that's capturing content at an event, reacting quickly to a cultural moment, engaging with the community, or turning performance insights into the next great idea. This position may require occasional travel to brand events, retail activations, and content shoots. We're looking for someone who doesn't just manage social. You build brands through it. What You'll Own Strategy & Channels Own the social strategy and calendar across all three brands — protecting three distinct brand voices while balancing long-term brand building with real-time culture Set platform-specific plans and growth roadmaps across Instagram, TikTok (including TikTok Shop), YouTube Shorts, and Pinterest Stay ahead of algorithm shifts and platform moves, and act fast when it matters Content & Creative Direction Define what each brand looks and sounds like every day, repeatable visual formats recognizable without the logo Concept product launches and campaigns as social-first moments that spark conversation well beyond launch day Shoot and edit yourself when speed beats production — events, activations, TikTok Shop moments, cultural reactions Community & Advocacy Own community management across channels — timely, on-voice engagement with a multi-generational audience Use social listening to surface sentiment, feedback, and opportunity; stay available for key launch and cultural moments Performance & Insights Define and track KPIs for reach, engagement, community growth, and conversion, reporting through social analytics tools (e.g., Dash Social or similar) Turn performance and audience signals into clear recommendations that shape content, product, and brand decisions What You'll Direct You set the standard and the brief; partners help you scale the output. Creators, UGC & influencer Source, brief, and manage creators and UGC across all three brands (we use Upfluence for sourcing); own briefs, deliverables, usage rights, and timelines Partner with PR and influencer resources to amplify earned and gifted moments Agency & Freelance Partners Own the day-to-day relationship with social/content agency and freelance partners: briefing, production, and approvals, keeping everything on brand and on time Triage incoming social requests from retail and paid, routing them to the right partner without losing the brand thread Retail & Cross-Functional Bring social to life for retail and DTC moments (e.g., QVC, Costco, Nordstrom’s, Shopify) in partnership with marketing, ecommerce, PR, and creative Manage tracking links for .com promotions and launches; keep the content library and planning docs current (we run on Asana) What We're Looking For 4+ years leading social media for a beauty, skincare, or lifestyle brand, proven success driving measurable ROI across TikTok and Instagram with TikTok Shop strongly preferred, knowledge of YouTube Shorts and Pinterest Strong command of social analytics, reporting, and creative tools (e.g., Dash Social, Figma, Canva, CapCut), with the ability to translate into meaningful insights and present to management ange to hold multiple brand voices at once, you can move between makeup artistry, modern skincare, and an emerging category and keep each one distinct A real understanding of beauty across makeup, skincare, and scalp wellness, the trends, the ingredients, and what moves consumers Strong copywriting and a sharp instinct for brand voice and tone Experience directing agencies, creators, and/or freelancers Elite organization, you hold a lot across three brands without dropping anything.
