Workplace Operations Manager

America is critically deficient in production of defensive munitions— we currently produce shipborne interceptors in the few hundreds per year while our adversaries are producing offensive threats in the tens of thousands per year. Furientis was started to help solve this problem— introducing a new class of cost‑effective, high production rate interceptor missiles. We're seeking motivated individuals who internalize this problem and are eager to apply their past experience in similar industries (aerospace, defense, automotive/racing, robotics) and out of the box thinking to solve this problem for the US and its allies. About The Role We’re looking for a highly organized, proactive Workplace Operations Manager to help keep our facility, team, and leadership operating at a high level. This is a high‑ownership role at a fast‑moving aerospace hardware startup. You’ll be responsible for many of the operational functions that keep the company running smoothly day‑to‑day—from managing workplace logistics and vendor coordination, to supporting executive scheduling, planning events, and maintaining a world‑class working environment. The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail‑oriented, calm under pressure, and excited to work in a dynamic startup environment where priorities evolve quickly. You should be equally comfortable coordinating a VIP customer visit, managing contractor schedules, booking founder travel, or making sure the shop and office remain fully stocked and operational. You’ll work closely with company leadership and play a key role in scaling the company’s workplace operations as we grow. What You’ll Do Manage day‑to‑day workplace and facility operations across office and shop spaces Coordinate vendors, contractors, maintenance providers, utilities, and other operational services Maintain supplies, consumables, snacks, and workplace inventory to ensure the facility stays fully operational and organized Coordinate VIP visits, customer tours, recruiting visits, and internal company events Support executive scheduling, calendar management, travel coordination, and meeting logistics for company leadership Help coordinate site planning, facility improvements, and expansion‑related logistics Track operational needs proactively and drive solutions with minimal oversight Assist with invoice processing, vendor payments, and routine operational administrative tasks Maintain a clean, professional, high‑functioning workplace environment Provide broad operational support across the company as new needs arise Skills We're Hiring For Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute reliably in a fast‑paced environment High level of ownership, responsiveness, and follow‑through Strong problem‑solving skills and sound judgment Comfortable interacting with executives, customers, vendors, and technical teams Experience coordinating facilities, workplace operations, vendors, or office logistics Ability to operate independently with minimal direction Proficiency with scheduling, calendar management, and common business software tools Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information professionally Bonus Points For Experience working at a startup, aerospace company, hardware company, or manufacturing environment Experience supporting founders or executives directly Experience coordinating office builds, site expansions, or contractor‑driven projects Familiarity with shop‑floor or industrial work environments Experience planning events, customer visits, or recruiting coordination Strong operational instincts and systems‑thinking mindset Experience managing purchasing, vendor relationships, or workplace budgets Experience building processes and operational infrastructure in a growing company Eligibility & Logistics Location: On‑site at our Los Angeles, CA HQ; remote work is not available.
