Technical Speicalist, Global Supplier Quality 1 Req ID: 140377 Region: Americas Country: USA State/Province: Texas City: Plano General Overview Functional Area: Quality (QUA) Career Stream: Operations Quality (OPQ) Role: Analyst (ANA) Job Title: Analyst, Operations Quality Job Code: ANA-QUA-OPQ Job Level: Level 07 Direct/Indirect Indicator: Indirect Summary The Global Supplier Quality Technical Analyst Team drives customer focus excellence and continuous improvement throughout our external and vertically integrated suppliers and ensures compliance with Industry, Customer and Celestica Requirements. We drive a Zero Defect culture with emphasis on maximizing value and preventing quality problems. Quantifying, managing and mitigating supply chain risk to provide continuous flow of quality parts, whilst minimizing supply chain disruption. Detailed Description Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following: Monitor customer and Celestica requirements/expectations flowed down to suppliers and sub suppliers to ensure clear expectations are defined and understood. Quality Planning during new product introduction, flawless launch, transitions and significant process changes. Management and reporting of risk-based Supplier Audit program. Performing Supplier Qualification audits to assess quality systems, technical capability and process capability. Assist in supplier selection and onboarding. Developing and deploying robust Global Supplier Quality processes and procedures. Document control, maintenance and continual improvement of Supplier Quality processes. Create, analyze and report supplier performance data, metrics and KPI’s. Monitor ongoing supplier performance and Drive Supplier Quality Improvement Plans to address systemic issues. Work with supplier’s and Celestica’s site representatives to effectively drive root cause and corrective action to resolve problems. Participate in Periodic Business Reviews of high impact/ Preferred Suppliers. Active engagement in Celestica’s supplier performance objectives. Educate suppliers on the deployment of core quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, 8D/ Root Cause Analysis and problem resolution. Practical knowledge of international industry quality standards including, as appropriate, AS9000 series, AITF16949, FDA, VDA etc. Experience with electronic and mechanical assembly, as well as a wide range of manufacturing processes. Extensive experience with conducting quality audits. Lead Auditor certification preferred. Advanced problem-solving skills, able to lead a team to apply root cause analysis and corrective action, using 8D process and formal quality tools. Extensive knowledge of Core Quality Tools including APQP, FMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, SPC and Gage View email address on click.appcast.io. Proven facilitation and collaboration skills. Ability to effectively lead and manage multiple projects. Flexible and cooperative approach when working in teams. Highly motivated, passionate and collaborative with an ability to work remotely. Physical Demands Repetitive manual movements (e.g., keyboarding) Sustained visual concentration on small areas, such as monitors, screens Sustained visual concentration on numbers, legal documents The job works in a normal office environment with no undue exposure to noise, odours, dust, drafts, etc. Typical Experience 4 to 6 years ( 2- 4 years) of relevant experience. Typical Education Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
