Location: Paynesville, MN
Compensation: $22.00-$25.00 per hour - paid weekly Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00am-4:30pm | Monday-Thursday

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Laser Operators for a leading metal fabricator located in Paynesville, MN. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and want reliable hours with weekly pay, this job could be a great fit. Read below for more information! What You'll Do as a Laser Operator:

• Operate laser cutting and punching machines
• Load, edit, and run machine programs
• Load raw materials into sheet bays
• Maintain cut quality while keeping efficient feed rates
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
• Complete routine laser maintenance, including startup/shutdown, cleaning windows and centering nozzles, emptying dust bins and replacing cutting beds
• Keep the work area clean and organized
• Ensure all products meet quality standards
• Handle steel raw materials and scrap
• Remove ("pick") laser-cut parts and stack them on pallets or in containers
• Package parts using banding or shrink wrap
• Safely operate forklifts to move materials and finished parts
• Use basic hand and power tools as needed

What You Need to Bring to the Laser Operator Role:

• Forklift operating experience
• Crane operator certification preferred
• Understanding of manufacturing and inventory processes
• Ability to read blueprints and use inspection tools
• Strong math skills
• Good verbal and written communication
• CAD experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude; knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems is a plus
