Remote Order Entry Specialist

The Remote Order Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering, reviewing, and processing customer orders in company systems. This position requires strong attention to detail, computer proficiency, data-entry accuracy, and effective communication. The specialist works closely with customers, sales representatives, inventory teams, and shipping departments to resolve order issues and ensure timely fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter customer orders accurately into the companys order-management or ERP system.
• Review orders for pricing, quantities, product information, shipping details, and customer information.
• Verify product availability and communicate potential delays or shortages.
• Process order changes, cancellations, returns, and corrections.
• Respond to customer and internal inquiries by email, phone, or chat.
• Coordinate with sales, warehouse, purchasing, and shipping teams.
• Track orders and provide customers with status updates.
• Maintain accurate customer and order records.
• Identify and correct data-entry errors or discrepancies.
• Follow company policies regarding pricing, billing, shipping, and customer information.
• Meet productivity, accuracy, and turnaround-time goals while working independently.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in order entry, data entry, customer service, administrative support, or a related role.
• Strong typing and computer skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM, ERP, or order-management systems is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities while meeting deadlines.
