Job Title: Welder 1 The Latham MR Magnets facility is a manufacturing and development site for Magnetic Resonance Imaging magnets and other superconducting products used in Philips Magnetic Resonance Imaging and other customers. Job Description As a Welder 1, you will perform precise high-quality TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel, run automated welding cells by confidently operating and overseeing robotic welding systems, set up equipment, monitor performance, make adjustments to ensure each weld meets quality standards, and handle routine maintenance. Responsibilities Perform precise high-quality TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel. Operate and oversee robotic welding systems in an automated welding cell. Set up equipment, monitor performance, adjust settings, and ensure weld quality while handling routine maintenance. Cut, bend, drill, tap, and perform similar operations to fabricate intricate assemblies for cryogenic applications. Read and understand drawings and supporting documents. Use precision instruments for quality assurance. Qualifications At least 1 year of welding experience and experience using mechanical assembly tools. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to create high-quality TIG and MIG welds and perform vacuum‑leak‑tight TIG welds on aluminum. Ability to meet the minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements for a Shipping/Warehousing position, with or without accommodation. Experience operating bridge cranes and forklift trucks, with ability to read and write documentation, follow assembly procedures, and sign off documentation. Work Schedule This is an onsite role covering third shift hours from 11:20pm to 7:30am. Pay & Benefits Pay range: $18.10 to $28.96 per hour, plus overtime eligibility and third‑shift pay differential.
