Ordnance Logistics HAZMAT Inspector/Shipping Clerk * This position is contingent on contract award * Security Requirement Must possess SECRET security clearance. Roles and Responsibilities Coordinates with supported commands and prepares required documentation to facilitate movement of munitions in support of NSWG-2 and its component commands. Provides detailed technical advice and assistance pertaining to the movement of munitions via all modes of transportation. Uses technical publications to facilitate shipment priorities. Qualifications In-depth knowledge and experience related to the duties of a shipping clerk, with at least three (3) years’ experience within the past five (5) years. Ordnance HAZMAT shipping experience. AMMO‑62 Technical Transportation of HAZMAT certification for shipping (preferred). If not previously certified, employee must be prepared to complete the AMMO‑62 HAZMAT Course upon soonest available opening. Documentation of previous Ordnance Qualification/Certification Board Membership. Must meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements. Valid state driver’s license. Forklift license up to 6,000 lb capacity. Requirement to obtain and check out government vehicles / CESE for official duties. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong verbal and written communication skills.
