Research Associate

Labcorp's PGDX division seeks a Research Associate to perform laboratory assays for diagnostic development, manage study protocols, and support product development activities in Baltimore. This first-shift role involves hands-on lab work, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory assays for diagnostic application development following GDP and PDP standards
• Design studies, write protocols, and create project schedules
• Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory reagents, and keep detailed records
• Conduct proof-of-concept, optimization, and feasibility studies with iterative troubleshooting
• Support sample management including tracking, database updates, and sample creation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related life science
• One or more years of laboratory experience in an industry setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure
• One or more years of next-generation sequencing (NGS) experience (preferred)

Compensation: $55,000-$65,000
