Shipping/Logistics/Inventory/Scheduling Specialist-

1st shift, 6am-3pm Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday as needed

Job Summary: Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments. Monitoring shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity. Addressing and resolving shipment and inventory issues. Liaising with Van Buren Plant and Customer

Responsibilities

• Creates daily production schedule based on customer releases and ensure is meeting their production plan.

• Manage inventory levels and liaison with the team to ensure no shortages on inbound material. Direct shipment amounts and determines mix and quantities.

• Manage and lead the customer liaison team.

• Provide input to performance reviews.

• Communicate and support in resolving customer delivery and dunnage shortage issues both internally and with the customer.

• Update the customer portal daily as required for both production and service and manage transportation routes with the customer.

• Review customer EDI for accuracy and errors.

• Perform Plex transactions to receive from Van Buren, including staging, loading, and shipping to customers as well as verify accuracy of all paperwork and ASN acceptance by customer.

• Manage dunnage repairs with both customer and dunnage repair supplier.

• Manage scrap for returns to Constellium.

• Follow all EHS policies and procedures.

• All other duties assigned and necessary to perform the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or associate degree in related field, preferred.

• 2 to 5 years receiving/shipping in an automotive environment, preferred.

• Good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel and PLEX, preferred.

• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.

• Individuals must be a team player and self-starter, organized and detail-oriented, required.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and changing environment, preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, required.

• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
