The nurse will provide care in a setting that serves a diverse population with a range of diagnoses. Expected patient ratios are 1:3-4. Experience with various patient conditions such as acute and chronic respiratory failure, sepsis, and heart failure is required. The nurse will be responsible for managing patients on cardiac drips including but not limited to nitroglycerin, Cardizem, and amiodarone. The nurse will float to other areas as needed to meet facility needs. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient and family experiences. Knowledge of infection control protocols and the ability to manage dysrhythmias are essential for this role. Flexibility with scheduling is desirable, as weekend coverage is required every other week. A collaborative approach with interdisciplinary teams will be utilized to navigate patient care effectively. The unit is recognized for excellence in patient care and has achieved a prestigious award from a relevant professional organization. Candidates must have documented and recent experience in the relevant specialty areas.
