L1 Embedded Software Production Support Engineer

DescriptionKforce's client in NYC is seeking an Embedded Software Production Support Engineer to provide front-line technical support for embedded software products and customer environments. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, managing support tickets, coordinating with engineering teams, and ensuring timely resolution of customer concerns. The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for issue triage, escalation management, and SLA tracking while supporting mission-critical embedded systems.What You'll Do:* Investigate, triage, and track technical issues reported by customers* Manage support cases and escalations while maintaining SLA commitments* Troubleshoot embedded software, operating systems, and related technologies* Analyze logs, diagnostics, and system behavior to identify root causes* Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve product defects and complex issues* Communicate status updates and solutions to customers and internal stakeholders* Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and knowledge base articlesRequirements* Experience supporting software applications, embedded systems, or technical products in a production environment* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities* Experience working with ticketing systems, incident management, and escalation processes* Ability to collaborate effectively across support, engineering, and operations teams* Familiarity with embedded Linux, VxWorks, RTOS environments, or related embedded technologies is preferred* Knowledge of C/C++, Python, networking fundamentals, or virtualization technologies is a plusJob TypeContractCompensation48 - $58
