SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST (SPECIALIST)

Senior Environmental Scientist (Specialist) Department of Water Resources $7,820.00 - $10,732.00 per Month Responsibilities Provide environmental planning, environmental analysis, and compliance expertise to support Central Valley Flood Protection Plan’s Conservation Strategy goals and objectives. Coordinate closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, planners, and engineers as well as the public. Use strong project management skills and a broad understanding of environmental policy and practices related to the flood control system in the Central Valley. Collaborate and communicate clearly across disciplines within DWR and with key State, federal, and local partners and the public. Qualifications Strong project management skills and broad understanding of environmental policy and practices related to the flood control system. Experience in environmental planning, analysis, and compliance within a flood control context. Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments and work effectively as part of a team. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of GIS and water-related biology and ecology principles.
