Job Summary:

This position assists the Legal Department in support of company legal matters, primarily in areas of franchising, real estate investment, and intellectual property.

Responsibilities :

· Draft various franchise-related documents, including franchise agreement, addendums, amendments, defaults and terminations;

· Organize and maintain franchisee files and other legal records;

· Reviewing, responding to and resolving franchisee inquiries and issues;

· Investigating and preparing demands to enforce brand contractual and intellectual property rights;

· Conducting various research;

· Regularly communicate with franchisees;

· Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to real estate investment and franchising; and

· Various other legal department tasks.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree;

· At least 2 years’ related work experience;

· Ability to handle high work volume;

· Organizational, prioritization and time management skills;

· Ability to multitask;

· Attention to detail;

· Critical thinking skills;

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;

· Ability to collaborate both intra and interdepartmentally as necessary;

· Ability to maintain confidential information;

· Experience drafting legal documents and managing legal records;

· Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite;

· Must pass comprehensive background check;

· Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field (preferred);

· Paralegal certification (preferred); and

· Experience with SalesForce software platform (preferred).

Work Environment:

· Hybrid in office and work from home;

· Occasional travel;

· Occasional after hours or weekend as necessary.
