Control Technician

A Control Technician is required to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimisation of industrial control and instrumentation systems across water treatment facilities in the Milwaukee area. This role is suited to a technically skilled professional with experience working with electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems. The Control Technician role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of process control equipment, including programmable controllers, data logging systems, instrumentation, and supervisory control systems, while supporting reliable facility operations. $40 - $50 per hour DOE Opportunity to work with industrial control and instrumentation systems Involvement in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system improvements Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, health, dental, vision, life insurance, savings accounts, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering, and employer-sponsored 401(k) The Control Technician Role: Install, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul control and instrumentation systems Support electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic instruments used to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, motion, force, and chemical composition Implement preventative maintenance schedules and maintain accurate maintenance records Troubleshoot and repair local and remote control systems, including HVAC, gas turbines, boilers, air compressors, generators, and valves Program and make corrections to programmable data loggers and controllers Read and interpret process and instrument diagrams Maintain spare parts inventory and assist external service engineers when required Generate and maintain records of ladder logic programming High School Diploma or GED required Associate degree in Instrument Technology, Electronic Technology, Computer Technology, or a related field preferred Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial control systems and instrumentation Knowledge of sensing devices including pressure, temperature, UV, motion, and fluid flow measurement Ability to work with computer systems, data entry tools, email, and office software Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders Valid driver’s license required Ability to work in confined spaces and wear breathing apparatus for confined entry #J-18808-Ljbffr
