We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals located in Salem, OR . As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling lives and achieve their goals. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in someone's life.
Pay: $17.25 - $19.75 per hour depending on prior experience
Duties:
Assist individuals with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration
Provide companionship and emotional support
Assist with transportation to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities
Implement individualized care plans and document progress
Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of individuals
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Patience, empathy, and compassion for others
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as needed
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality
First aid and CPR certification preferred
