Dr. C Dental – South Hill is seeking a reliable and experienced Temporary Dental Hygienist to provide coverage during a medical leave of absence. This short-term opportunity is ideal for a hygienist who enjoys a part-time schedule and thrives in a well-supported, patient-centered clinical environment.
Position Details
- Role: Temporary Dental Hygienist (Medical Leave Coverage)
- Schedule: Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays
- Dates: May 14, 2026 – June 6, 2026
- Employment Type: Part-time, temporary assignment
- Licensure: Active Washington State Dental Hygiene License required
Position Overview
The Temporary Dental Hygienist will provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal care while maintaining the high clinical and service standards of Dr. C Dental – South Hill. This role ensures continuity of care during a team member’s medical leave and supports a seamless patient experience.
- Perform adult and pediatric prophylaxis (cleanings)
- Conduct periodontal assessments and non-surgical periodontal therapy
- Take and evaluate dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care at home
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and charting
- Collaborate with doctors and clinical team members to coordinate patient care
- Follow all OSHA, infection control, and safety protocols
- Maintain a calm, professional, and patient-centered chairside manner
Qualifications
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Washington State
- Prior clinical experience in general dentistry preferred
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to established workflows
- Comfortable in a short-term, part-time coverage role
