Job Type Independent Practice Opportunity – physicians own and operate their own practice entity while receiving full operational support from MedCBO for non‑clinical functions. Overview This position is for family medicine physicians who wish to establish or transition into an independently operated practice supported by MedCBO’s administrative infrastructure. Physicians retain full clinical authority and governance of patient care policies. MedCBO provides non‑clinical business and operational services; it does not direct patient care or employ physicians. Physician Responsibilities Provide patient care within the scope of family medicine Develop and maintain professional relationships within the local medical community Coordinate payer credentialing with MedCBO assistance Determine the clinical services offered by the practice Manage clinical quality and patient experience programs Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination Billing and collections management Payer contract negotiation Financial infrastructure and reporting Operational workflows and staffing systems Technology platform implementation (EHR, telehealth, workflow systems) Credentialing, enrollment, and facility privileging coordination HR administration and compliance support Supply‑chain and vendor coordination Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided Eligibility for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice Interest in the independent practice model Preferred Desire for practice ownership Community‑based care interest Leadership or program development interest Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure and regulatory requirements.
