Job Title: ServiceNow Developer

Location: 100% on site - Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, West Mifflin, Pennsylvania

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week

Duration: one-year base period, plus four one-year option periods

Required Experience: 2+ years

Position Summary:

The ServiceNow Developer designs and builds workflow applications that replace manual processes for the Mission Support Division, and does so in a way that holds up under audit: change-controlled, documented, logged, and supportable after the person who built it moves on. Because the role is part-time, disciplined intake and prioritization matter as much as technical skill. This is a hands-on development position with direct stakeholder contact, not a ticket-queue role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow applications, forms, and workflows from stakeholder requirements.
\n
• Document modules and keep a log of everything developed and deployed, for audit and tracking.
\n
• Make sure all work meets federal IT standards and site requirements.
\n
• Provide operations support for deployed applications.
\n
• Track development tasks and projects, brief managers bi-weekly, meet deadlines, and flag delays with reasons.
\n
• Work with Mission Support Division staff so priorities are clear.
\n
• Follow cyber, physical security, and safety rules.
\n
• Develop and document ServiceNow development policies and procedures.
\n
• Support automation initiatives, recommend workflow improvements, and coordinate project requests in line with IT guidance.
\n

Deliverables:

\n
• Complete, documented ServiceNow module packages, correctly named and deployed to the designated environment.
\n
• A development tracking log that meets federal lifecycle and auditability standards.
\n
• A weekly status report covering completed tasks, outstanding work, risks, and recommended improvements.
\n
• A problem log for platform, software, and network issues, recording the date, time, description, and corrective action for each.
\n

Required Qualifications:

\n
• A Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or a related field, plus 2+ years of ServiceNow development or administration.
\n
• Proficiency in configuring, scripting, developing, and deploying across ITSM, ITOM, workflow, catalog, and custom applications, in compliance.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including presenting complex system information clearly.
\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n
• ServiceNow CSA and CAD certifications.
\n
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems under federal compliance, and familiarity with secure development lifecycle requirements.
\n
• Experience writing IT procedures, SOPs, and compliance documentation, and spotting workflow improvements that support the mission.
