Field Service Technician

About the Role Spotting a solution and fixing a problem requires diligence, determination, and knowledge. This role supports operational, maintenance, and networking for Canon products, providing technical expertise to our customers. Responsibilities Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures. Service and repair equipment to Canon standards and specifications. Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups and troubleshooting techniques. Deliver efficient, responsive, and accurate Field, Shop, or on‑site maintenance. Maintain all technical documentation, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property records. Provide mentorship and direction to less experienced technicians. Resolve escalated technical and customer service issues for assigned territories. Qualifications HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent plus 1‑2 years of related experience. Basic understanding of internet environments; completion of a 120‑day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new‑hire class. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required for travel. Availability to work 24/7, including shift work and on‑call rotations. Capacity to obtain necessary security and/or customer clearances. Ability to lift 50 pounds and remain active >50 % of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling).
