Maintenance Mechanic - Days

Responsibilities Understand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rules. Participate in the day‑to‑day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times, always using the required personal protective equipment. Ensure that authorized work is completed safely. Utilize required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazards. Participate actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives. Report all unsafe acts and conditions, and all incidents, near‑misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedure. Repair and/or replace solenoids, cylinders, motors, filters, regulators, oilers and gauges. Troubleshoot electrical circuits utilizing schematics. Properly size fuses, contactors and cross‑reference electrical parts. Set up and program Variable Frequency Drives with basic PLC skills. Verify instrumentation, sensors and electrical motors through appropriate testing methods. Perform advanced welding of either pipe or general fabrication. Troubleshoot, rebuild, repair or replace pumps, gearboxes, pneumatic cylinders, actuators, solenoids, filters, regulators, oilers and gauges. Troubleshoot and reconfigure pneumatic circuits. Use CMMS and maintain knowledge of its functions. Assist in basic preventive maintenance procedures of equipment and basic general housekeeping standards. Perform regular preventive maintenance as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively. Must be able to understand instruction and follow direction. Must be able to work primarily in a warm to hot environment.
