System Administrator - NYC
Staffing the Universe
System Administrator
Location: NYC Hybrid work (3 days a week from office) Duration: 6+ Months
Support all aspects of systems administration: Security, Configuration Management, OS, Virtualization, Storage, Networking
Create and maintain technical documentation for changes and updates
Patch and upgrade existing server, network, and owned applications
Help develop and maintain scripts and automation used for administration
Troubleshoot network/ server connectivity issues
Assist with technology lifecycle through engineering and testing
Qualifications:
Roughly 2+ years' experience in a Systems Administrator position or equivalent role
Roughly 5+ years' experience in IT overall
Exceptional troubleshooting skills
Proficient in supporting MS Windows Server (2016)
Good understanding of networking concepts
Proficient in scripting whether it be PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills required
Experience with Linux a plus
Previous experience supporting financial firms a plus
