Join us and help Take Us There. The Role MarketAxess is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you'll provide engineering and operational support for the firm's desktop and handheld devices. You'll work across a broad set of endpoint technologies to support internal teams and external clients, including end-user locations in New York City. How You'll Help Take Us There Install, configure, and administer workstations, laptops, and handheld devices. Provide in-person and remote help desk support to a professional end-user community. Troubleshoot application and performance issues on end-user devices. Administer the firm's mobile device management (MDM) platform. Support and troubleshoot wireless networks and remote access platforms. Partner with vendors to diagnose issues and repair or replace faulty hardware components. Respond promptly to incidents and service requests from end users and clients. Conduct proofs of concept and evaluations to test and validate desktop technologies. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Track incidents and work items in ticketing systems, and maintain clear documentation. Support IT projects as needed. What We’re Looking for 3+ years of relevant experience (financial services experience preferred). Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS. Hands-on experience troubleshooting infrastructure services (e.g., AD/LDAP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, ACLs, and firewalls). Hands-on experience with remote access platforms (e.g., Palo Alto Global Protect, Netskope, and Cloudflare Zero Trust). Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) platforms and next-generation antivirus solutions. Strong knowledge of wireless technologies and concepts. Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a timely manner. Excellent written, verbal, and documentation skills. Comfortable working in a time-pressured environment supporting a dynamic finance/trading organization. Strong attention to detail. Scripting is a plus (PowerShell, Bash, Python). Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
