Location: BH Medical Group Physician Practices

Status: Full Time (80 Hours)

Shift: Days

The physician will deliver direct patient care following established protocols, practices, and standardized care guidelines. In addition to the responsibilities outlined, candidates must fulfill the minimum criteria for medical staff privileges.

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and document findings accurately and promptly.
• Utilize and interpret relevant diagnostic tests (such as laboratory tests and imaging procedures) and provide appropriate referrals or consultations.
• Educate and counsel patients to promote wellness, addressing health risk behaviors and providing necessary resources.
• Offer agreed-upon coverage for patient care in suitable settings (e.g., ambulatory office or hospital) during business hours, evenings, and weekends, as mutually arranged and in accordance with medical staff bylaws.
• Maintain and demonstrate the clinical, technical, and surgical skills for which the physician is credentialed.
• Administer pharmacological treatments in line with patients' age, medical conditions, allergies, drug interactions, and therapy duration, ensuring quality care in dispensing both narcotic and non-narcotic medications.
• Keep an updated Delaware medical license, CSR license, and DEA license, including fulfilling continuing medical education (CME) requirements and maintaining appropriate Board certification.
• Perform any other duties as assigned within the scope of job responsibilities.

• Education: Doctor of Medicine; completed residency. Board Certified/Board Eligible as per medical staff bylaws.
• Credentials: Physician - CSR (if required by job duties); Physician MD DEA (if required by job duties); or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) licensure. Must meet credentialing standards set by the medical staff services department.
• Experience: Relevant experience preferred.

• Education: Additional relevant education preferred.
• Credentials: Additional certifications preferred.
• Experience: Further experience in the field preferred.
