Hematology/Oncology Physician

Locums - Marshfield, Wisconsin Hematology/Oncology Opening

Clinical Role

Provide full-spectrum Hematology/Oncology coverage for an ongoing need beginning ASAP. The physician must be trained in both Hematology and Oncology ; Medical Oncology-only candidates will not qualify.

Assignment Details

Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• 1-hour lunch
• Overtime after 9 working hours per day
• Full-time preferred
• Will consider 2-3 weeks per month
• Two locums may split coverage

Clinical Responsibilities

• Approximately 15 clinic patients per shift
• Bone marrow biopsies required
• Acute leukemia and inpatient chemotherapy management
• Chemotherapy supervision
• Approximately 5-10 phone consults
• Experience managing post-autologous stem cell transplant and post-CAR-T patients required

Call

• 1:4 weekly hospital call
• Friday 7:30 AM-following Friday 7:30 AM
• Daily hospital rounding during call week, approximately 1-2 hours
• Additional weekday rounding approximately 4:00-5:00 PM
• 30-minute response time
• Rarely required to return to the hospital after hours

Support & Practice Setting

• 3 physicians and 3 APPs
• RN/MA support
• Patient navigators and infusion RNs
• Radiation Oncology services available
• Hospital Stroke Certified
• Trauma Level II/III
• Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible - Required
• Hematology/Oncology Fellowship - Required
• Hematology and Oncology training - Required
• Bone marrow biopsy experience - Required
• Recent/relevant post-autologous stem cell transplant and CAR-T patient management experience
• ACLS, ATLS, BLS - Required
