Operations ManagerAs the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of our shop. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong management skills, a proven track record in a similar role, and a passion for driving efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality.Key Objectives:Drive Operational Efficiency and ProfitabilityDevelop and Align a High-Performing Service TeamDeliver a Safe, Consistent, and High-Quality Customer ExperienceResponsibilities:Manage all shop staff including but not limited to service technicians, lot porters, and adminsUnderstand individual contributors productivity, efficiency, and capabilitiesAttend and engage in weekly service-related meetings to ensure the team is on track to hit goalsAssign repair orders based on technician skill setEnsure efficiency and productivity goals are tracking on an individual and team basisManage customer experience as neededManage and monitor P & L, identifying revenue and labor hours opportunitiesCollaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams within the dealershipAssist employees with tools they need to be successful in their rolesAssist service manager as needed to ensure department alignment on daily goalsAttend and engage in weekly service-related meetings to ensure the team is on track to hit goalsEnsure strict compliance with all health and safety regulations within shop and maintain safety protocols to create a secure working environmentWhat You'll Bring:Proven experience in operations management within the manufacturing industry, with a preference for RV or automotive manufacturingTechnical knowledge of RV's is a plusExperience driving a forklift is a plusAbility to adapt in a fast-paced environmentMust have Saturday availabilityStrong leadership, team management, and time management skillsFind innovative ways to improve customer experienceExperience in managing a P & L and forecasting goalsExceptional analytical and problem-solving abilitiesIn-depth knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in manufacturing and operationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsBachelor's degree in business, Operations Management, or a related field preferredNeat, clean, and professional appearanceAbility to pass a background check and drug testDemonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Value in all interactions with customers and co-workersExpected Results:Technician productivity and efficiency consistently meet or exceed established benchmarksImproved labor hours per repair order through effective skill-based work assignmentPositive trend in departmental gross profit driven by optimized labor utilization and cost controlReduction in repair cycle time and backlog, improving overall shop throughputIncreased customer satisfaction scores and reduced service-related complaints or escalationsStrong attendance, engagement, and participation in weekly service meetings with clear action follow-throughConsistent adherence to health and safety standards with zero preventable safety incidentsImproved employee retention and skill development within the service departmentClear visibility into individual and team performance metrics, enabling proactive management decisionsStrong cross-department collaboration resulting in fewer operational bottlenecks and reworkResources:Access to dealership management systems (DMS), scheduling, and productivity tracking toolsEstablished performance metrics, reporting dashboards, and financial (P&L) reportingTrained service technicians, porters, and administrative support staffShop equipment, diagnostic tools, and technology required to perform repairs efficientlyHealth and safety policies, procedures, and compliance trainingSupport from Service Manager, Fixed Operations leadership, and cross-functional dealership teamsCustomer experience standards, processes, and escalation protocolsWho We Are:Bish's RV is one of the largest family-owned RV dealers in the country.
