This contract assignment, located onsite near Elgin, IL, focuses on students requiring specialized support in their gross motor skills. You'll work with mixed grade levels, with a particular emphasis on transition-aged students (20–22 years old). This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to a collaborative, student-centered team during a short-term leave.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Illinois licensure as a Physical Therapist is required.
• Demonstrated experience in pediatric settings.
• Previous experience delivering physical therapy services within a school environment.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to engage with students of varying ages and abilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide educationally relevant physical therapy services to students receiving special education support.
• Assess student needs and develop treatment plans to address gross motor skill deficits.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to promote positive student outcomes.
• Maintain thorough documentation to track progress and comply with school requirements.
• Adapt interventions to support successful participation in the educational environment, with special attention to transition-aged students.

This assignment is a contract position starting August 17 and ending November 4, with a 37.5-hour work week.
